Athens

Our hostel in Athens

Marble streets are everywhere! We almost slipped a few times!

The old next to the new

Gelato is our favorite!

The biggest museum in Greece

Outside of the museum we toured

Gold laurel wreaths were awarded to victors in athletic competitions and were symbols of victory and honor. These wreaths dated back to 3,000 B.C.

The restrooms in the museum.. no toilet seat..at least we didn't have to pay to use them!!

There are police everywhere, because the French president is in town!

This picture reminded us of Raleigh in Venice in 2011 💙

This was taken outside a church.. the priest looks like he is preaching when really he is trying to untangle his headphones😅

Antique globe found in the flea market

At the end of the day we ate dinner at this beautiful restaurant with our group! (The waiter was wearing sweatpants but he was super nice and had to carry food up spiral stairs for 16 people.. so it was all good😅)

Food choices.. so glad they had an English translation!

Ireland and I split a traditional Greek salad.. we found out that there is actually not any lettuce in this salad! Papa you would love this because it is filled with lots of yummy tomatoes!
